1–2. The specialist and the team

Ask about the doctor’s specialty, experience with comparable cases and whether multidisciplinary discussion is needed. Clarify how the hospital will assess your case rather than relying on advertising or a technology name.

3–4. The plan and alternatives

Ask why a plan is proposed, the alternatives, important risks and expected follow-up. Clarify the limits of a remote review and what may change after an in-person examination.

5. A written estimate

Compare equivalent services in the same currency using the same records. Are implants, medicines, additional tests, intensive care, companion costs and extra days included? Check validity and refund terms.

6–7. Quality information and practical needs

Verify accreditation claims through official sources; accreditation is not an outcome guarantee. Interpretation, hospital travel, lift access, rehabilitation and contact after returning home also matter.
